The Bhutan Men’s National Cricket Team is set to embark on another important chapter in its international journey as it prepares to compete in the ACC Men’s Challenger Cup 2026, scheduled to take place from 8th to 22nd June in Singapore. Hosted by the Singapore Cricket Association (SCA) under the auspices of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC), the tournament will be played in the 50-over One Day format and serves as a qualification pathway to the ACC Men’s Premier Cup 2026, with the top two teams earning promotion to the next stage.

Bhutan will depart for Singapore on 8th June with a touring contingent comprising 14 players and 4 officials as the national side looks to make a strong impression against emerging cricketing nations from across the region. The tournament presents another significant opportunity for Bhutan to continue its development in the longer white-ball format while gaining valuable exposure on the international stage.

Drawn in Group C alongside Thailand and Tajikistan, Bhutan will begin its campaign against Thailand on 11th June before facing Tajikistan on 15th June. Both matches are scheduled to be played at the Singa Oval in Singapore, with the national side aiming to secure a place in the knockout stages and keep its qualification hopes alive.

The team has been undergoing preparations ahead of the tournament, with players focused on adapting to the demands of the 50-over format and building momentum heading into a highly competitive regional event. The ACC Men’s Challenger Cup continues to play a vital role in the growth and development of associate cricket in Asia, providing nations with a platform to compete at a higher level and strengthen their international experience.

As Bhutan continues its steady rise in international cricket, the upcoming campaign in Singapore represents another valuable step forward in the nation’s long-term cricketing journey and ambitions within Asian cricket.
