Bhutan Cricket Council Board Announces Second Edition of BIFA Cup 2026

The Bhutan Cricket Council Board (BCCB), in partnership with the Bhutan Olympic Committee, the Embassy of India, and BIFA Gelephu, has announced the second edition of the Bhutan India Friendship Association (BIFA) Cup 2026. The tournament will be held from 21st to 28th April 2026 at the Gelephu International Cricket Ground.

The BIFA Cup returns following the success of its inaugural edition, continuing its role as a bilateral cricket tournament that brings together teams from Bhutan and India. The 2026 edition will be held under the theme “Beyond Boundaries”, highlighting cross border sporting engagement through cricket.

The tournament will feature six teams across men’s and women’s categories. The men’s competition will include four teams, two from Bhutan and two from India, while the women’s competition will feature one team from Bhutan and one from India. All matches will be played in the T20 format.

The tournament will begin with team arrivals and official engagements on 20th April 2026, including meetings, media interactions, and photoshoots. Matches will commence on 21st April, featuring double header fixtures scheduled daily at 9:30 AM and 14:00 PM. The tournament will conclude with the final matches on 28th April 2026.

All matches will be hosted at the Gelephu International Cricket Ground. Matches will be live streamed on official platforms, providing access to audiences across Bhutan, India, and international viewers.

The BIFA Cup 2026 continues to serve as a platform for competitive development and sporting exchange between Bhutan and India, strengthening cricketing ties and expanding opportunities for players from both nations.
