Bhutan Women’s National Team Holds Special Team Meeting Ahead of ACC Women’s Premier Cup 2026.
Ahead of their departure to Malaysia for the ACC Women’s Premier Cup 2026, the Bhutan Women’s National Cricket Team today held a special team meeting with the President, coinciding with the celebration of his birthday and marking an important moment for the squad before the upcoming international campaign.
During the gathering, the President extended his encouragement and best wishes to the players while expressing strong confidence and high expectations for the team as they prepare to represent Bhutan on the regional stage. He emphasized the importance of discipline, unity, commitment, and pride in wearing the national colours, while motivating the players to embrace the challenge ahead with confidence and responsibility.
In a symbolic gesture ahead of the tournament, khadars were presented to all selected players, signifying blessings and support as the team prepares to travel to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for the tournament scheduled from 1st to 13th June.
The occasion also marked the beginning of a new era in Bhutan women’s cricket, with the national squad selection process having been carried out fully through data analysis and performance evaluation. The initiative reflects the federation’s growing commitment towards professionalism, transparency, and merit-based selection within the national setup.
